USB Flash Drive Not Showing due to Cancelled Formatting

User case:
I was trying to format my flash drive and realized I was formatting it to the wrong system type and cancelled it. After this it wouldn't format so I tried to disconnect it and reconnect it and now it doesn't show up in C:. The computer picks it up, even lets me safely remove the device, but I cannot access it to do anything with formatting it, factory defaulting it or anything else.
The cancelled formatting made USB drive invisible in computer, which not only caused data loss but also made it impossible for the owner to use the USB flash drive. Is there any solution to make the USB stick work again at least? Yes, check the following steps to see if the method works for you.

Step 1. Type "CMD" in search box, then right click it and choose Run as administrator.
Step 2. Type diskpart in the prompt window and hit enter.
Step 3. Type list disk and hit enter.
Step 4. Type select disk # (replace # with the number of your USB drive) and hit enter.
Step 5. Type clean and hit enter.
Step 6. After its completed successfully go to control panel and search create and format disk partitions.
Step 7. Open it and right click on unallocated space beside your USB drive number.
Step 8. Select New simple volume and follow the on screen instructions to format your USB.

Now the USB drive should appear in Windows Explorer normally, and you can open, rename or do other operations on it.
